why oats will never be the answer

So apparently oats are now the magical solution to life’s problems. People’s obsession with oats has reached a whole new level of irritating. Yeah, I get it, they’re cheap, but so is toilet paper, and you don’t see anyone making that a gourmet meal replacement. Oats with lime juice? More like a bizarre science experiment nobody asked for. Going viral on TikTok doesn’t make it any less questionable.

What’s the deal with this trend trying to mimic some kind of fancy drug for satiety? Why not just enjoy food like a normal person instead of blending oats into a sad, soggy mess? It’s like drinking gruel and pretending you’re some sort of enlightened health guru. Even this site seems to find the absurdity in it. The combo is supposed to fill you up. Yeah, fill you up with disappointment, maybe.

We’re at a point where people think replacing an entire meal with a slimy concoction can save humanity. Spoiler alert: it’s not. It’s bad enough it’s hard to differentiate between oat trends unless they have some catchy hashtag. I mean, I’ve seen blended oats offered as a meal! As if chewable food is suddenly overrated. What’s next? Blending pasta as a beverage? Whatever.
