peaches and cream nonsense

Seriously, whoever thought it was a good idea to mash up some frozen peaches and oatmeal and call it a smoothie needs to rethink their life choices. Peaches and cream oatmeal smoothie—ugh. This is basically like taking someone’s leftover dessert, dumping it into a blender, and pretending you’re enjoying a gourmet treat. “Cobbler in a glass”? More like disappointment in a cup. If I wanted soggy oats floating in peach-flavored mush, I’d just ruin my breakfast myself instead of having some pseudo-chef do it for me.

And don’t get me started on using yogurt and almond milk in this mess. Why not throw a couple of bananas in there for good measure and turn it into a fruit salad disaster? Slow-digesting oats, they said. Keeps you full, they promised. Well, sure, if by ‘full’ you mean bloated and regretting all your life decisions post-consumption.

I don’t know where people come up with these misadventures in blending. Why do we settle for subpar concoctions disguised as healthy when we can actually enjoy real food? There’s no cobbler magic here. Just drink your sadness and pretend you’re relishing healthfulness. Don’t believe me? Go see for yourself on this blog. I’m done.
