keto recipes or just a reason to eat more cheese?
I just found myself staring at what I thought was a joke: 10 easy keto recipes for fast weight loss. Actually, maybe it’s not a joke, but like, a secret code for ‘consume more cheese and bacon without guilt’? Because, honestly, every recipe basically screamed, ‘Guess what? You can still eat bacon!’ Which, I’m not complaining, but it feels like cheating or something. Anyway.
So the first thing I notice is this insane obsession with avocado. Not that I mind—I could basically live off avocados and I’d be happy. But it’s like these recipes are hell-bent on slapping avocado on anything that remotely resembles food. One recipe suggested wrapping avocado slices in bacon and then baking. And I mean, helloooo, cholesterol. Though I’m intrigued (mostly because bacon-wrapped anything sounds like a plan). (Did I just accidentally find an excuse to eat better by eating worse?)
Another thing they love talking about is cauliflower. Like, really? I used to throw cauliflower around in my fridge for weeks, unsure of its destiny, until it didn’t smell quite right. But now, apparently, it can be mashed, riced, and even turned into tacos without forcing it to be something it’s not. Honestly, the dedication is impressive but also slightly annoying.
Now, this list of recipes—yeah, I’m saving it for later. Not because I plan on shedding half my body weight next month, but because it feels a bit like a treasure map. Whether it leads to actual weight loss or just more creative ways to eat dinner is moot at this point. And, ironically, I’ve found myself more interested in figuring out if these recipes can work out well while binge-watching something brainless. Meanwhile, I’m ending this by imagining myself eating a bacon-avocado something-or-other that looks simultaneously delicious and potentially artery-clogging.
My head hurts just thinking about it, like, who knew losing weight could end up being this indulgent? I need a diet I can wrap my mind around, probably not wrap a bacon slice around. Sigh.
